Biography:
Since graduating from Somerville College, Oxford in 2009, Kimon Pallikaropoulos has continued to study, practice, perform and teach piano all over the country. Having taught in Bath, Loughborough, Rugby and London, he will embark upon further postgraduate study at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire in the field of Jazz Piano. Alongside his teaching career Kimon has performed in a variety of styles on a multitude of instruments including all manner of keyboard and brass instruments, and even harmonica. He has gigged with Rock-Pop band “Gabriella and the Planets” in venues across the country, acted as compere/accordionist in Angeliki Petropetsioti’s theatrical piece “Youkali: The Pursuit Of Happiness” in a short London tour, MD’d and accompanied Spanish song in Alejandro Postigo’s “Copla: The Musical” both locally and abroad, and contributed to London Lawyers’ Orchestra concerts on tuba. He is also composer and MD in residence for Pleasure Dome Theatre Company, located at Lynton’s Valley of Rocks in Exmoor. Most recently Kimon, alongside guitarist Ed Saklatvala, founded prog-rock band “Setria 3”, playing bass/synth/backing vocals on a 4-keyboard rig. The band released a debut album “Through The Wild Wood” in 2019 and is working on a second.
